NotebookLM from Google might be the best thing since sliced bread Notion.

Here’s 5 different ways I’m using the AI-powered research assistant to help me study and learn Cloud & Security

Just quickly, what is NotebookLM?

“An AI-powered research assistant…” Okay nice… Venture capitalist fund speak aside, what does that actually mean?

Sign up and you’ll be faced with this:
- Sources on the left
- A classic text prompt area below
- Notes in the Middle

Start by adding your own sources, you can add up to 50 of these! They can be anything from a PDF to a YouTube video.

Once you’ve added a few sources, you can query them like you would interact with an artificial intelligence chatbot - I’ve added 2 Whitepapers and a YouTube Video on “AWS VPC” and as you can see I’ve asked “What is AWS VPC“

Using the information from my sources, it has provided a comprehensive reply. This is huge! Why?? Any Chatbot can do that? They can but you can never be 100% on the information. Here, I have provided the source, so as long as I trust it, we can trust the output and I can use my own notes. It even references directly to the part of the source it got the information from. It’s also worth noting that Google don’t learn and train from your data.

For studying this really is so powerful.
